Mutual Aid Art Sale to Benefit Brooklyn Arts Council

In a normal year, Brooklyn Arts Council holds two annual fundraisers: a traditional gala event in the spring and an affordable art sale in the fall. Needless to say, this is not a normal year. Their spring fundraiser was postponed indefinitely, and for the same reason they will not be able to hold their annual fall art sale, AccessArt.

But they still need to raise funds to support their work. At the same time, they recognize that individual artists are suffering mightily through the ongoing crisis.

In response, they have created an online art sale in which artists can donate their art to benefit Brooklyn Arts Council, sell their art directly to supporters and keep the proceeds, or a combination thereof. The sale will culminate in a live event where they will celebrate participating artists and honorees.

Artwork will be on view from July 15 - September 15, with a rotating selection of works over the course of the sale. Bidding starts at 50% of retail value!! Artwork can be purchased either by bidding or by using the 'buy now' feature.

I have donated the following (the images on their website came out looking washed out):
