This view of a white-washed shed with a white fence and landscaped perennials in the foreground made a simple, but very summery composition. The dappled shadow of a tree and the deep shadows of the woods in the far background add depth to the painting. I enjoyed painting this on-site. It was quiet, calm, very pleasant, with just the buzz of busy bees to keep me company.
