| This lovely garden
belongs to the church, St. Francis Xavier, in Park Slope, Brooklyn. I
never noticed it until this spring as I drove by it and noticed the tree
covered with pink blossoms. When I returned with my painting supplies, I
was nearly discouraged by the fence and gate, but a couple of women
sitting on a bench inside gestured me in. Turns out they were the local
school crossing guards, and this is where they usually take a break.
What a peaceful and inspiring spot to paint this turned out to be! |
