Pink and yellow houses with red tiled roofs with the Tuscan hills rolling away in the distance - how timeless! This view captures the reality that the houses were built on the flanks of a steep hill; there’s a rhythm to the rooftops broken slightly by the chimneys poking out. I wondered while painting if those chimneys are still functional!
