A late afternoon “en plein air” painting at the Cranford Rose Garden at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. This one got my attention because it had an elegance to it. Unlike the many other bushes merely covered with flowers, this seemed to have an independent spirit, seeking to move upwards towards the sun. Plus, it had as a neighbor that odd sculpted, round thing atop one of the gate posts of this end of the garden. Another character in the composition!
