Orange Roses on Trellis, BBG

Such beauty in one small corner of the Cranford Rose Garden at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden!

While there are already masses of roses of many colors inside the garden, this is a view from the outside periphery. The trellis and posts added nice structure and depth to the composition, while the climbing rose bush is so ALIVE, bursting out of the fence and reaching for the sky.

I was also entertained by large groups of shouting school kids, energized by the fresh air and freedom to run around. Some actually did stop to smell the roses. Oh, the joys of painting “en plein air”!
