Studio Courtyard, Morning Snow

A view from inside my Union Street studio looking out one of the windows at the courtyard the day after a snow storm. I was in the middle of painting a landscape view on my studio easel, when I happened to glance over and saw another painting wanting to be made! Luckily my portable easel and a small used, but prepped canvas were at hand and I pivoted to this view. Initially I considered it to be a small sketch, but a few days later I saw interesting nuances and details and decided to spend more time on it. In the interim a big snow storm hit New York City, which added a couple of more interesting aspects to the view out the window.
