Inspired by the Lily Pools at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, this view appealed to me because of the unusual spear-shaped leaves that created interesting shadow patterns. Plus that incredible yellowy green next to the intense deep blue of the pool’s surface was very cheering to paint. The upside down tree reflections added what seems like a reversed horizon. And I learned a new plant name!
