Stoop with Free Books and Cherry (commissioned)

A sentimental journey of sorts, this painting is a partly imagined Park Slope, historical brownstone in springtime. While based on a real house, the client asked for some specifics: the ubiquitous box of free books on the stoop and a blossoming cherry tree, adding a springtime aesthetic and lots of light. In short, an amalgam of her favorite memories of having lived in this neighborhood!
