Gowanus open studios
Saturday and Sunday, October 18 & 19,
noon to 6 pm
I, along with my studio mate, and 100s of other artists in studios or host venues in the broader Gowanus neighborhood invite you to put on your comfy shoes, grab a map (or plan ahead with the online artist directory), and visit us. It’s a unique opportunity to ask us about our process and inspirations, find new artists to admire and follow, and maybe even buy artwork (almost everyone, including me, will have discounted items or affordable reproductions),.
Of course, you also will see how dramatically the neighborhood has changed in the last year!!
Be sure to stop by the many local businesses who have sponsored the event for a beverage or snack, or to relax afterwards. There are lots of fantastic eating and drinking establishments in the ‘hood.
I will be showing new paintings: oil paintings, studies and watercolors of your favorite Brooklyn cityscape and garden/park views.
Also, I will have a few extra copies of my new Gowanus Memories book, a compilation of 20 years of paintings of the Canal and neighborhood. Find more information about the book HERE. I will be accepting orders up until Friday, Sept 26.
Visit Arts Gowanus for more information: where to find printed maps (I’ll have some), online artist directory, local sponsors, etc.
